Carved a couple of pumpkins while watching the Giants vs. Angels game Saturday night. Not a fun game to watch. Tonight's game isn't much better so far. This morning my pug Cleo sent me to the emergency room. She was stretching and stretched her claw right into my eye, which started bleeding. Ouch. I couldn't be sure if it was just my inner eyelid or actually my eyeball that was scratched, so we spent a couple of hours at UCSF Emergency. Looks like everything is OK and I won't be going blind anytime soon. Whew!
Also baked some Halloween cupcakes. Devil's Food.

Yesterday we took a trip to the pumpkin patch down the street to get a few for Halloween. It was a pretty elaborate pumpkin patch, with a Hayride and 2 caged turkeys and a little rabbit. We got some good ones, I will carve them this week. Watched the Giants game last night, it was pretty close but SF won! I started to realize that I must be getting old when I start to like and want to understand the game of baseball. I even made a feeble attempt to get tickets, but no luck. As a kid, I used to go to the Portland Beavers games with my cousins, which was fun but the Beavers were not that good as I remember.
Our garden is being re-landscaped right now. This is one of the more exotic flowers that's being planted. I'm excited to see how it will all turn out.

Last weekend we drove to Santa Barbara for Jason's uncle's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding and very fun reception. The weather in Santa Barbara was warm but cloudy and we stayed right on the beach. The five course meal was served with a different wine with each course, so the photo below shows how many glasses were left on our table towards the end.
One last picture of the bride & groom.
