Glico caramels are delicious. However, they aren't very good for your dental work. Yesterday I was enjoying one of these delicious candies when I bit down on something hard. That little something was a fragment of a big ass filling. I chewed it so well that I also broke the tooth wall. The cost of my caramel feast : $920 for a porcelain crown. On top of that: I might just get to have root canal #2. So remember: sticky, chewy things love your dental work. Beware.

Jason and I at the Clift Hotel for their opening party August first. It looks like we are surrounded by white shirts.

I quit smoking in 1994, same year as the infamous OJ car chase and the big Los Angeles area earthquake. Yet every time I go to a bar, I chew on straws as though they were cigarettes. In my dreams, I smoke and it feels as though I have never quit. This pic was taken a couple of Fridays ago at Rebecca's goodbye party. I only had one drink but I chewed the damn straw to bits.

Saturday night, out on Union Street after some Sushi Chardonnay with Sonia, my best friend from high school. We've been friends for 18 years?? Wow. Sonia was also a bridesmaid at my wedding last year:

Last night we were walking home from dinner in the Haight with my friend Sonia. We stopped in a kwik mart to get some water and I found this gem: Gummi Pizza. The chef on the package looks so excited! Sonia says they make Gummi Burgers too. I want to open it up and see if it tastes like pizza. It's really hard to imagine what this gummi pizza will taste like.
